SHOW DESCRIPTION:

Get ready to drop the needle on a killer evening! The North Coast Men’s Chorus invites you to Murder with a Twist—our annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre with a groovy new spin. Step into a night of classic cocktails, a delectable 3-course dinner, and a deliciously campy crime that unravels with dance, deception, and plenty of laughs. As the clues unfold and the plot thickens, keep your eyes peeled for red herrings, backstabbing suspects, and outrageous twists. Take a stab at solving the mystery, try your luck at our reverse raffle boards, and bid big in our live and silent auctions. It’s a night of vinyl vibes, deadly drama, and unforgettable fun—don’t miss your chance to be part of the crime… or the solution!

And you’re the detective!

You’ll be transported back to the Swinging Sixties and the set of a televised dance show, where your host, Tommy Tremont (Donald Butchko), keeps the teeny-bopper dancers in line. This isn’t an easy task when he’s dealing with teen heartthrob, Chip Morris (Mike Majers), who never met a mirror he didn’t like and his ditzy partner, Trixie Conrad (Bryan Fetty) who proves that blondes do indeed have more fun! The other couple in contention for this week’s Spotlight Dance is that Italian bombshell, Maria Del Vecchio (Carla Petroski) and her partner, Ned Adams (Jason Mravec), who is tired of always coming in second best. This pair really puts the “loco” in the Locomotion. Making his debut in front of the camera is Spunky Speelman (Brandon Bauer). While Spunky is new to the scene, he’ll soon be strolling with the best of them. Of course, with all the energetic young people on the dance floor, it won’t be long before someone gets their toes stepped on. Tempers will flare and someone ends up dead. And it’s up to you to solve the mystery!

Get in on the fun by dressing up in your grooviest 1960s clothing – everything from love beads to bellbottoms to miniskirts. It’s going to be one groovy night!

We’ll be serving up classic cocktails, a delectable 3-course dinner, and a far-out crime that unravels with dance, deception, and delirious laughter. As the clues unfold and the plot thickens, keep your eyes peeled for intentional misdirection, backstabbing suspects, and outrageous twists to the story.

As the mystery unravels, test your detective skills, spin the raffle boards for a shot at big prizes, and outbid your rivals in our live and silent auctions. With vinyl vibes, shocking twists, and nonstop fun, you won’t want to miss your chance to crack the case—or become part of it!

It’s my second show this year and third ever. I was moved to tears by the unexpected encore of Imagine at the end as it’s always been one of my favorite songs and lyric. Its words are timeless and mean more today than ever before and to me it offered up a prayer to our country and the world and that’s why I cried as I watched and listened through the crescendo of voices. I will remember it for the rest of my life. Thank you, NCMC.

That was a wonderful show. With all the crap going on in the world right now, this was an afternoon I really needed, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Beatles are probably still my favorite group ever, and your music selection and arrangements were so good.

An absolutely amazing concert.. the beautiful harmonies, the lively and engaging stage presence and presentations, the solos, the HYSTERICAL small group numbers, the wonderful Coastliners, the quite smooth and quiet transitions in between numbers, the Beatles subject matter, the memorization of the entire program, the tie and scarf details, the incredible accompanying ensemble, the two fabulous interpreters, the totally amazing sound… I know I’m leaving something out.. oh.. and did I mention… KUDOS TO ONE FABULOUS and ENCHANTING PRODUCTION
