Important Venue Change for NCMC’s Disney Pride in Concert

The North Coast Men’s Chorus would like to inform you of an important change regarding the venue for our highly anticipated performance, Disney Pride in Concert. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Saint Ignatius High School is no longer able to host our concert on June 17th and 18th at the Breen Center for the Performing Arts.

However, we are delighted to announce that the North Coast Men’s Chorus will now be showcasing our talent at the Hanna Theatre at Playhouse Square (2067 East 14th Street, Cleveland). The dates and times of the performances remain unchanged.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this venue change, but we assure you that the Hanna Theatre will provide a magnificent backdrop for a memorable evening of this multimedia Disney musical presentation.  In collaboration with Saint Ignatius High School and Playhouse Square, we have taken all necessary steps to ensure a seamless transition to the new venue.

If you have already purchased tickets in the Breen Theater, we want to assure you that they remain valid for the corresponding dates, and we will hand pick comparable seating arrangements at the Hanna Theatre. Tickets will be reissued starting June 2nd. If you have questions about your tickets, please call Playhouse Square at (216) 241-6000.

Joining us in the very special concert are two familiar northeast Ohio guest soloists, Treva Offutt and Tina D. Stump. Locally, Treva has performed at Karamu, Dobama, Ensemble Theater, Mamai, and Cain Park. She has loved being a vocalist for the past 7 years in collaboration with The Musical Theater Project, The Joe Hunter Trio and The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra.

A versatile mezzo-soprano, Tina has performed annually at CPT’s Station Hope, singing songs of hope and freedom with the folk group The Welcome Table and appeared as a guest soloist with the Cleveland Pops and Akron Symphony Orchestras, in addition to gracing the stages of Great Lakes Theater, Dobama, and Cleveland Opera. You’ll be tapping, clapping, and cheering in the aisles at this show stopping concert.

Shoeless: A Musical Tale of Cinderella

Join the North Coast Men’s Chorus for the world premiere of Shoeless, a staged musical concert of the fairy tale, Cinderella written by Bryan K. Fetty! Many of you remember our production of Von Trapped and this promises to be just as over the top with all the characters you love – Cinderella, the Prince, her evil Stepmother and her two stepsisters. And we can’t forget her very own Fairy Godmother! The show features a potpourri of popular music and musical theater favorites to bring the story to life. So grab your glass slippers and get your tickets early for this one – because who knows what will happen if you wait until midnight!

Holidays with You

The North Coast Men’s Chorus is thrilled to be back on stage with a live concert – Holidays With You! After being virtual for almost two years, it is so exciting to be able to kick off the holidays WITH you. We’re back in the acoustically perfect Maltz Center for the Performing Arts and we’re pulling out all the stops to make this a concert to remember – filled with traditional carols, holiday standards, lush arrangements, and just enough quirky surprises to bring a smile to your face and put the spirit of the holidays into your hearts.

Some of the songs you’ll be hearing include Mary Sat A-Rockin’, Light One Candle, Do You Hear What I Hear, and Ding! Dong! Merrily on High. We have a production number that has the NCMC “elves” taking over the show and showing that Broadway and carols can coexist. The Coastliners have prepared a fun and thought-provoking set of songs that are spot on for this holiday season.

Due to current CDC (Christmas Disease Control) guidance, please don your most festive mask for this concert. We hope that you’ll start your “holidays with us” and join the North Coast Men’s chorus for Holidays With You.

Maltz Performing Arts Center Mask Policy: Per university policy, all guests, staff and volunteers must wear masks that cover both their nose and mouth while in the building. Masks are available if needed. Anyone refusing to wear a mask will be denied entry into the theatre and must leave the facility.
